What is the Meter Protection Program?
PG&E’s Meter Protection Program involves installing protective barrier posts (bollards) in front of gas meters that are at risk of being struck by vehicles. These safety posts help prevent gas leaks and service interruptions by reducing the risk of accidental damage
This is an official PG&E safety project and there is no cost to you for the installation of the posts. All work is fully funded by PG&E as part of their commitment to gas system safety
If you received a letter or door hanger, your property has been identified by PG&E as needing meter protection under this safety initiative. Please follow the instructions provided in the notification
